Overview

The Hampta Pass Trek is a dramatic crossover trek connecting the lush green Kullu Valley to the arid Spiti Valley. Experience meadows, wildflowers, river crossings, glaciers, and the thrill of crossing the Hampta Pass. Perfect for trekkers seeking variety and adventure in the Himalayas.

Itinerary

  • Day 1: Manali to Jobra (Drive – 16 km), Jobra to Chika (Trek – 2 km) – Scenic drive, trek through pine forests and meadows. Camp at Chika (10,100 ft).
  • Day 2: Chika to Balu Ka Ghera (Trek – 8 km) – Trek along the river, cross boulder fields, camp at Balu Ka Ghera (11,900 ft).
  • Day 3: Balu Ka Ghera to Hampta Pass (14,100 ft) to Siagoru (Trek – 9 km) – Steep ascent to the pass, descend to Siagoru (12,900 ft).
  • Day 4: Siagoru to Chatru (Trek – 7 km), drive to Chandratal (if road open) and return to Chatru. Camp at Chatru (11,000 ft).
  • Day 5: Chatru to Manali (Drive – 60 km) – Scenic drive via Rohtang Pass, trek ends.
