Overview

The Brahmatal Trek offers a unique blend of snow-covered trails, majestic Himalayan peaks, and pristine alpine lakes. Nestled in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, this trek sits at an altitude of 12,250 feet and is an ideal choice for beginners and seasoned trekkers alike. The trail is especially magical in winter, with snow-draped forests and panoramic views of Mt. Trishul and Mt. Nanda Ghunti.

Itinerary

  • Day 1: Kathgodam to Lohajung (7,600 ft) – Drive through scenic valleys and mountain roads to Lohajung. Overnight in guesthouse.
  • Day 2: Lohajung to Bekaltal (9,900 ft) – Trek through oak and rhododendron forests. Camp at Bekaltal.
  • Day 3: Bekaltal to Brahmatal (10,600 ft) – Moderately steep trek to Brahmatal. Camp beside the lake.
  • Day 4: Brahmatal to Brahmatal Summit (12,250 ft) and back to Brahmatal Camp – Summit day! 360-degree Himalayan views. Descend to Brahmatal campsite.
  • Day 5: Brahmatal to Lohajung via Daldum – Return trek through meadows and forests. Rest at Lohajung.
  • Day 6: Lohajung to Kathgodam – Drive back, trek ends.
